Gerhard is a Managing Director at Crescent Capital and serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. He is also the Chief Financial Officer of Crescent Capital BDC, Inc. and a member of Crescent’s Executive Committee. He joined Crescent in 2016 from WhiteHorse Finance, Inc., where he was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of a publicly traded business development company managed by H.I.G. Capital. Prior to H.I.G. Capital, Gerhard was Group Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Churchill Financial Group. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young LLP.

Gerhard received postgraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Stellenbosch and the University of Natal, both located in South Africa.
