Vicky Lai

Ms Lai joined Crescent as a Managing Director in 2019 in the Investor Relations department, to cover institutional investors for the firm in Greater China and the UK. Before Crescent, Ms Lai spent 9 years with a global placement agent, First Avenue, as the Head of Greater China and Managing Director. She was focused on Capital Raising/Business Development for Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt and Infrastructure managers in the UK and Greater China regions. Over the last 5 years, Ms Lai raised approx. $3.5bn for a range of managers, building on an extensive network and deep relationships in the institutional marketplace, especially in the insurance, sovereign wealth funds, consultants, and corporate pension communities in the UK, Mainland China, Taiwan & Hong Kong. Ms Lai is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales and has previously worked at Linklaters and Norton Rose. She was awarded her honours’ degree in Law by Zhong Nan University of Economics and Law in China; and was awarded her master’s degree by the University of Manchester, UK. Ms Lai speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka (Kejia) and English.
